The HANA organization is a coalition group for United States' students of color at UST. HANA encourages support and respect for persons of all ethnic backgrounds and nationalities with an emphasis on students with Hispanic/Chicano/Latino, African American, Native American and Asian/Pacific-Islander ancestry. The HANA organization is an agent for positive change regarding issues at UST. HANA cultivates awareness, communication, and understanding through activities and community outreach. Meetings are open to all UST students regardless of their background. The associations under HANA include: Latinos Unidos, African American Student Association, Native American Student Association and Asian/Pacific-Islander Students in Action. :
