Student Organization Resource Center (SORC)

Overview of Resources -

A number of resources exist to assist student organizations as they set organizational goals, plan and implement programs, and develop student and citizen leaders.

Information, Storage & Workspace, Art Supplies, & Utilities all make up the SORC (Student Organization Resource Center), which is more of a concept than a particular place.

Information such as leadership and multicultural books (which are available to be checked out), “Ask the SORC” handy guides and important forms, and a student org resource binder can all be found on the second floor of the Campus Center.

Storage & Workspace available include mailboxes, large work tables, and 36 cubbies are all available to student organizations and are located on the second floor of the Campus Center. A number of office cubicles are located in Kirk Hall and are available to student organizations (please see “allocation of space(s)” listed below for further information on cubbies and cubicles).

Art supplies including paint, banner paper, markers, glitter, and paintbrushes can be found in the workroom, located on the Campus Center’s second floor.

Utilities such as 2 Mac’s & 2 IBM’s, a copier & fax machine, a phone & typewriter, and a dry erase board & markers can be found in the work room or the hallway leading to it. Caddies with supplies (i.e. scissors, ruler, glue, etc.) can be checked out at the Campus Center 2nd floor Information Desk during the day or from Programming Assistants in the evening.
