[edit] MPJC-SDS Points of Unity:
MPJC-SDS is a student organization based on the principle of direct democracy.
We strive for a participatory, non-hierarchical, democratic society which meets the basic needs of all people. We work towards environmental sustainability, accessible education, unrestricted free expression, and an immediate end to all forms of oppression and domination. We strive for the end to all wars of aggression, imperialism, and the socio-economic and political structures that support and profit from them. We demand an immediate end to the wars and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.
We oppose racism, sexism, heterosexism, ableism, patriarchy, capitalism, and imperialism. Our critique is systemic and we view the structures that we oppose as inextricably linked. We are committed to building meaningful coalitions to work towards justice, self-determination, and autonomy through non-hierarchical and consensus-based organizing. We aim to work on these issues through a diversity of tactics.

In practicing anti-racist, anti-sexist, and queer-positive belief, MPJC will engage in self-education and self-reflection, embracing a personal-political critique of gender, race, sexuality, class, and all power dynamics within the organization that act to marginalize, erase, or disqualify difference.
MPJC-SDS functions through non-hierarchical, consensus-based decision making.
MPJC-SDS rejects all forms of white male and heteronormative leadership/dominance.
MPJC-SDS has no membership requirements and is an open organization.
Finally, MPJC-SDS rejects elitism and vanguardism, instead valuing pluralism and critical inclusion. MPJC is not a place for antagonisms, but for political complimentarity, thought, and action.
