[edit] Stipulations
The following stipulations apply to the Election of Officers:
- At least one of the Co-chairs shall be Latina;
- Only current members shall run for Executive Board Offices;
- Anyone shall run for Assistant Team Offices;
- A student shall have at least one year of experience in the Offices to serve as a Senior Adviser;
- Candidates may run for multiple offices, given that they abide by restrictions in Article IV, Section 4.ii.;
- Officers must be in good academic standing during the period they serve.
[edit] Elections in the Fall Semester
Election of officers will occur at the last meeting of the fall semester.
- The Secretary shall announce the date, time, and place of the election meeting with at least two weeks of prior notice; such communication should include a description of available positions.
- Such communication shall be made available to members of all levels of participation.
[edit] Electoral Policy
- Each person in attendance at the meeting in which election takes place shall be accorded one vote per office.
- All elections will be held by secret ballot.
- A simple majority vote will constitute an officer election.
[edit] Removal
Any officer may be removed for just cause.
- Just causes for removal may be any the following:
- Not fulfilling the duties of their office;
- Dismissal from the College; and
- Absence from three consecutive meetings in a semester, except in extreme circumstances.
- Removal must be made by the majority of the organization.
- A vacancy is filled with the approval of the majority of its members.
