[edit] Stipulations

The following stipulations apply to the Election of Officers:

  1. At least one of the Co-chairs shall be Latina;
  2. Only current members shall run for Executive Board Offices;
  3. Anyone shall run for Assistant Team Offices;
  4. A student shall have at least one year of experience in the Offices to serve as a Senior Adviser;
  5. Candidates may run for multiple offices, given that they abide by restrictions in Article IV, Section 4.ii.;
  6. Officers must be in good academic standing during the period they serve.

[edit] Elections in the Fall Semester

Election of officers will occur at the last meeting of the fall semester.

  1. The Secretary shall announce the date, time, and place of the election meeting with at least two weeks of prior notice; such communication should include a description of available positions.
  2. Such communication shall be made available to members of all levels of participation.

[edit] Electoral Policy

  1. Each person in attendance at the meeting in which election takes place shall be accorded one vote per office.
  2. All elections will be held by secret ballot.
  3. A simple majority vote will constitute an officer election.

[edit] Removal

Any officer may be removed for just cause.

  1. Just causes for removal may be any the following:
    1. Not fulfilling the duties of their office;
    2. Dismissal from the College; and
    3. Absence from three consecutive meetings in a semester, except in extreme circumstances.
  2. Removal must be made by the majority of the organization.
  3. A vacancy is filled with the approval of the majority of its members.
