The Centro de Derechos Laborales (Workers' Rights Center) is a worker's center established as a program of the Resource Center of the Americas in 2001, and serves latino immigrants on an array of workplace issues, including back wages, worker's compensation, health insurance, racial or gender identity discrimination. It is currently staffed by the director, Teresa Ortiz, and is supported by a stream of volunteers from various colleges in the Twin Cities area, including University of Minnesota, MCTC, University of St. Thomas, Macalester College, Hamline University, etc. It also organizes against globalization and for immigration reform.
